Student Housing

ULS offers a variety of 1-,2-, and 3- bedroom housing options on both the Gettysburg and Philadelphia campuses. Interested applicants must have an “active” student status meaning they must be enrolled in coursework, contextual formation, and/or on an approved Leave of Absence.
Current students who wish to be included in the first round of long-term housing assignments must complete a ULS campus housing application found in Populi under Forms by April 1st.New students should complete a housing application by June 15th for fall placement and December 5th for spring placement. Applications submitted after these deadlines will be accepted but housing is based on availability and unit preference cannot be guaranteed.
New tenants may move into campus housing no sooner than August 1 (fall semester) or January 3 (spring semester) and no later than the first day of the corresponding semester’s classes. A security deposit and other documentation is required before occupancy can occur. Students enrolled full-time or in the maximum level of annual credits associated with their program, are eligible for ULS housing scholarships during the academic year (August – May). Up to two pets per unit are permitted in most long-term housing for an additional fee. Smoking is prohibited.  More information about pricing and policies can be found in Section 7 of the current Student Handbook.

Commuter Housing

Commuter Rooms are available to students enrolled in a semester-long course who wish to remain on campus to attend class and/or complete coursework throughout the week. These “crash” rooms may be utilized for up to 3 nights per week at a cost of $20 per nightand will be billed up front for the entire 13-week semester. A Commuter Room Request must be completed at least thirty (30) days before the course begins and must be renewed each semester as needed.

Intensive/Overnight Housing

Students taking an intensive course may request overnight lodging at a discounted rate by completing the Intensive Lodging Request Form at least thirty (30) days before the class begins. Temporary lodging is limited and available on a first come first serve basis so early application is recommended. Charges are waived for current residential student tenants who need lodging on the other ULS campus for intensive courses.  The current Campus Housing Application and Commuter Housing Request can be found on your Populi Dashboard or Activity Feed under Forms.
