Information for New Students

  1. Visit the Registrar's page to find out more about course descriptions and schedules and to access other important information and forms.
  2. Populi is the student information system (SIS) used for registering for courses and student account info. Canvas is the learning management system (LSM) used for courses and resources.
  3. All admitted students will receive a ULS email account. Important information from faculty and administrative offices is sent to this address, and you are responsible for all communications sent to your email address.
  4. Your Student ID Card and campus mailbox. Visit this page.
  5. Student Handbook. Please take time to read the Handbook especially all policy statements, as you are responsible for abiding by seminary policy.
  6. Financial Aid: An institutional Financial Aid Application must be completed annually. To learn about financial aid opportunities at ULS, visit the webpage or review the current Financial Aid Policy.
  7. Computer Requirement. All students are required to have regular access to appropriately equipped computers; therefore, it is strongly advised that all students purchase computer systems (laptops preferred) and software according to the suggested guidelines found in the Student Handbook. The Biblical Studies faculty requires all MDiv students to use Accordance Bible software as part of their studies. Information for ordering it at a reduced price will be provided at the start of the fall term. Exceptions may be made with permission of Bible faculty.

A Campus Housing Application must be submitted by June 15 to be considered for fall placement and November 15 for spring placement. Space is limited and first preference is not guaranteed. Commuter housing is also available on either campus up to 3 nights per week fora single semester. A Commuter Room Request Form must be submitted at least one month in advance.
